Park Modern’s Showflat Now Complete!
The completion of Park Modern's show-flat is a monumental milestone for high end residential contractor Ant Yapi UK. Not only does it signify the successful conclusion of an ambitious project, but also provides us with an impressive showcase of modern architecture, from innovative structural designs to luxurious interior styling. From our complex design processes and intricate methods for combining materials to all the little details that contribute to delivering a superior aesthetic result – this is truly a remarkable achievement for all involved. Ant Yapi as a top Turkish construction company have provided a design & build solution for the Park Modern development as principal contractor by incorporating our friendly supply chain with specialists in joinery, aluminium & glazing and marble & stone works from Turkey (notably Calacatta Vogue, Bianco Fantastico and Colorado Oro) who have been able to commit to a very high quality finish, with best materials and in conjunction with the developers budget.
The overall built area is 190,000 sqft and is being supported from a raft foundation and a concrete frame. The façade is a delicate combination of precast concrete and natural stone from Derbyshire, aluminium feature rainscreen, glazed areas and doors and steel standing seam solutions. The interiors combine fine joinery with carefully prepared marble and timbers (using Istoria Fine Oak) finishing off the interiors of the apartments.
The construction of this incredible project did not start with a blank canvas to build straight onto; as you can see from the video below, there was an existing structure in place that had to be demolished. Post demolition Ant Yapi took charge of the excavation works for the foundations and ensure they were structurally sound, this is especially important due to the volume of traffic on the main parallel road and the underground lines also running parallel to the site. This meant not only did re-inforcing works have to be carried out but also anti-vibration and dampening works taken into account. During this phase we dug 18m deep (which in Central London is quite the feat!) leading to the creation of 3 basement levels.
The construction of the Park Modern project has been a success with the now completion of the show-flat in Hyde Park London. After much anticipation, potential home-owners and curious bystanders can take an inside look at what the fuss is all about.
