Turkish Construction Company Ant Yapi is wholly owned by four friends; Kadir Tokman, Hasan Yilmaz, Mehmet Okay and Cengizhan Karaduman and all are still very much in control and at the centre of the business. Kadir Tokman and Cengizhan Karaduman are regularly in London and Ant Yapi (UK) Limited’s authorised directors. Mehmet studied business administration at Gazi University in Ankara, Kadir studied Civil Engineering in Middle East Technical University (top engineering school in Turkey), Hasan studied architecture, and Cengiz studied Surveying/Geomatics engineering.

The company was formed in 1990 in order to take advantage of import/export initiatives. The company is based in Istanbul and works in Turkey, Turkmenistan, the United States and the United Kingdom. The group’s main activity is as a construction company however it also has subsidiaries involved in real estate development, facility management and hospitality; with a number of hotels developed and owned and in one instance managed by Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group under their Radisson Blu brand and two others under the Frasers Hospitality group.

Ant Yapi started residential development and construction in 1998 with the first project ‘Flora Evleri’ (Flora Homes) successfully completed in 2000. The Ant Yapi brand in Istanbul is now synonymous with quality residential developments.

Ant Yapi’s reputation for quality, complexity and volume works was cemented with the completion of two prominent high rise buildings one of 240m high and the second of 352m high. Ant Yapi was main contractor & principal designer on both projects.

In additional to large multi-unit residential schemes the company has also completed bespoke one off homes of exceptional quality such as the Capital Hill Villa designed by the late Zaha Hadid and Panavto Monet Residence. This experience has allowed us to develop and perfect our in-house design, joinery production, marble fabrication and 3D design modelling on projects of the highest quality.
